Lockheed Martin Applications Engineer Sr - Operations Technology- Level 3 in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: As a Senior Applications Engineer on the Fort Worth Operations Strategy & Technology (OS&T) Business Management, CRAD, and Sustainment Team, you will play a vital role in supporting business management functions and leading technical projects. This position involves a mix of technical execution, project management, and leadership development, with a clear path toward future team leadership roles.

What You Will Be Doing:

Business Management Support (Primary Responsibility): Coordinate with OS&T leadership team to prepare and deliver monthly metric reports. Serve as the team procurement liaison, coordinating activities with leadership and OS&T project managers.

Technical Project Execution: Plan, develop, and integrate advanced manufacturing technologies to resolve complex manufacturing challenges. Provide technical direction and oversight, mentoring the next generation of Manufacturing Technology engineers.

Project Management: Perform key functions, including budget and schedule management, status reporting, and cost-benefit analysis for both government-funded and internally-funded projects. Support leadership decisions by contributing to budget planning, schedule creation, and resource allocation.

Team Leadership and Development: Actively participate in staffing and strategic initiatives to align team capabilities with organizational goals.

Demonstrate a strong interest in pursuing a leadership path, including opportunities to become a team lead and mentor junior colleagues.

Basic Qualifications:

- Experience in project management

- Experience engaging and presenting with leadership

- Experience working with data analytics (Example: Excel / Tableau / Power BI / Etc.)

Desired Skills:

- Bachelors degree

- Strong written and verbal communication skills

- Strong technical presentation skills and experience presenting to executive leadership.

- Strong technical background with advanced knowledge of aerospace manufacturing and associated materials & processes

- Knowledgeable on LM Procurement Processes

- Advanced project management experience.

- Experience working in advanced manufacturing concepts as they relate to current and emerging aero platforms.

- Significant experience leading technical teams and creating a team environment.

- Substantial experience working government funded development projects.

- Knowledge of industry best practices for a broad range of manufacturing techniques.

- Creative approach to technical problem solving.

- Experience with Earned Value Management.

- Sound understanding of business and financial analysis.

- Experience with and/or established working relationships dealing with LM internal and external customers

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
