The Michaels Organization Compliance Lead in Fort Worth, Texas

The Compliance Lead will be responsible for a portfolio of properties. Duties consist of reviewing tenant files for adherence to applicable compliance regulations, assisting site staff and annual compliance reporting for his/her portfolio.Properties consist of multiple housing programs, such as Rural Housing, Tax Credit, Section 8 and Mixed Finance. The Compliance Lead is also responsible to assist in ensuring all required state and/or city compliance reporting is completed timely. He/she will be intricately involved in training new staff and serving as a resource for existing staff.

Responsibilities

  1. Assist with questions from both internal and field staff.2. Assist with training new staff.3. Review application and recertification files for own portfolio.4. Submit required compliance reporting for own portfolio.5. Assist/monitor compliance reporting requirements for other portfolios6. Maintain clear communication with Compliance Manager on all aspects of the department.

Qualifications

Required Experience:Minimum 2 years of experience as a Compliance Specialist with broad knowledge of all housing programs.

Required Education/Training:High School DiplomaCOS/CPO and Tax Credit designation or their equivalent Continuing Education as may be required

Required Skills and Abilities:Leadership skill and ability Excellent communication skillsExtensive knowledge of the affordable housing industry Ability to maintain supportive relationship with field staff Ability to train new staffDependability, flexibility and confidentiality are a mustMust be available for occasional overnight travel as requested

Working Conditions:Standard office conditions. Overtime may be required. Occasional travel may be required.

Salary Range Information
