Job Title: Controls Design Engineer

Job Description

Collaborate with Strategic Account Managers, Project Managers, and project team members to design industrial control panels. Read and interpret customer diagrams and documentation to understand objectives and preferences. Use AutoCAD Electrical to update PLC module and electrical drawings based on markups in accordance with company and customer standards. Update panel layout and detail drawings based on markups. Confer with engineering staff, manufacturing staff, and other personnel to resolve problems. Develop PLC module and electrical drawings, panel layout, and detail drawings. Develop BOMs and interpret vendor cut sheets to determine functionality of components. Perform panel power and heat calculations. Provide guidance and assistance to other designers and drafters, as well as to production on all aspects of the panel design. Assist the project team with site visits to determine panel design requirements and in the completion of panel design request forms.
