Job Summary and Qualifications

Under the supervision of the Chief Operating Officer, the director has the accountability and responsibility to coordinate the activities of the department to provide optimal patient and customer nutritional care, and performs other functions in a manner consistent with the mission and goals of the organization.

What qualifications you will need:

Education and Experience:

• Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree preferred).

• Minimum of five years of prior experience as a Director of Food & Nutritional Services, preferably in a healthcare setting.

​​Licensure and Certifications:

• Registered Food Service Manager (RFSM) required.

• Current Food Manager certification with city of Fort Worth required.

• ServSafe Food Protection Manager required.

• Licensure through the Texas Board of Examiners of Dietitians required.

• Food Management certification preferred.

• ​Registration the American Dietetic Association as a RD or RDE preferred.

Medical City Fort Worth is a 350+ bed full-service Magnet Designated hospital. It is located in the heart of the medical district. Medical City Fort Worth serves as a tertiary referral center for Tarrant County and many counties within a 90 mile radius. We offer comprehensive diagnostic and treatment services.
