TexasBank Mortgage Compliance Prefunding Specialist in Fort Worth, Texas
SUMMARY:
The Mortgage Compliance Prefunding Specialist position is
responsible for reviewing all mortgage files scheduled to close to ensure file completeness with investor and company guidelines required on a residential mortgage loan. The incumbent in this role is responsible for working with the Mortgage Loan Officer teams to ensure proper disclosure requirements and documentation based on the loan product requested by the applicants.
JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review loan files to verify accuracy and completeness of all mortgage transactions prior to closing/funding.
- Adhere to Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac/FHA/VA/USDA, and other investor guidelines and procedures.
- Check for compliance with established Federal and State regulations and guidelines pertaining to borrower and property eligibility, qualifying income, and debt ratios.
- Validate data integrity of loan documentation by completing prefunding reviews on borrower, application, and property information to meet investor quality control requirements.
- Communicate with the Loan Officer and Loan Processor team throughout the file review process.
- Requires knowledge of closing requirements for Conventional, FHA, VA, and USDA loans along with TexasBank Mortgage policies and procedures.
- Attend product, policy and procedure training meetings as requested.
- Possesses knowledge of state and federal mortgage lending regulations and their effect upon mortgage lending activities. Performs duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to Real Estate Settlement Protection Act (RESPA) and Truth-in-Lending (TILA), Ability to Repay, Qualified Mortgage, High Cost, High Priced, Texas Home Equity, NMLS, HMDA, Flood, ECOA.
- Understand and agree to abide by the policies and procedures established by TexasBank.
- Perform duties in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and related anti-money laundering laws, and in accordance with the Banks Information Security Program.
- Provide enthusiastic, professional, and courteous service to TexasBank customers and employees.
- Maintain the security and confidentiality of pertinent information, including borrower information, and records.
- Continue professional development through training, seminars, membership in professional associations, as applicable.
- Perform additional duties and special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- High School Diploma required.
- Minimum of two years of work-related experience.
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
- Analytical and demonstrates attention to detail.
- Problem Solving - works well in group solving situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications.
PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:
- Associate degree is preferred.
