TEKsystems Network Manager in Fort Worth, Texas

Description:

Reporting directly to the Sr. Director of Infrastructure, this candidate will lead the team that is responsible for provisioning, deploying, administering, and monitoring of the Network infrastructure for the firm. This includes all switches, routers, firewalls, wireless technology and wide-area network components. The successful candidate will be a hands-on technology subject matter expert, well-organized and adept at delivering complex projects in the Network domain. Duties will include Coordinating with other team members to ensure timely and effective management of incidents related to network faults Ensure appropriate security measures are practiced to protect company assets Organize and manage resources to ensure delivery of services meet or exceed expectations Manage & develop the Network team members as a high-performance team Develop & maintain standard operating procedures for the acquisition, evaluation, deployment and configuration of network technology Communicate with all levels of the organization during high priority problem events. Participate in 24 X 7 on-call rotation for any Network services events Additional Details: Managing 6 direct reports focused in Network, Wireless and Network Security. Report to Dir of IT with peer managers for Platform, AppDev, Workplace Services and HelpDesk.

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: Bachelor's degree in computer science or commensurate experience 5+ years direct network management work experience preferred Effective written and oral communication skills; ability to utilize interpersonal skills to work with team members and business units within the company. Ability to present ideas in business-friendly and user-friendly terminology. Networking with a security mindset, ideally coming from a regulated environment Proficient with Cisco networking technologies Proficient with Ruckus or other enterprise wireless technologies Proficient with Fortinet or other enterprise firewall technologies Experience managing wide are network carriers & associated contracts (MPLS, DIA, Broadband) Financial acumen & budget/planning experience Experience working with multiple service providers to deliver a world-class service Ideally experience with large warehouse environments Experience managing within an Agile framework leveraging Jira is a plus Physical Requirements: Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards. Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs
