Who You Are

The Supply Chain Management organization (SCM) is looking for a strong, self-motivated individual to join the Manufacturing Readiness Level (MRL) team within the Supplier Performance department. This candidate will be a lead facilitator at Supplier MRLs to include interfacing with supplier executives, F-35 JPO customer, F-35 program office, and internal Lockheed Martin lead assessors. Expectation is to lead and facilitate the MRL events in coordination with the F-35 JPO to understand the needs of reducing supplier risk to the F-35 program overall.

What You Will Be Doing

Individual will organize and lead a focused MRL team at numerous suppliers to accomplish successful manufacturing readiness assessments, prepare cross functional team for structured engagement, formally report back to the customer, and ensure that the supplier continues to mitigate risk. Candidate will collaboratively identify suppliers with potential risks to assess for future MRA’s and negotiate internally with supply chain management to secure approval for those assessments to take place.

An ideal candidate will have strong communication ability, facilitation skills, critical thinking on the fly, leading team and ability to give executive level presentations to diverse groups of over 50 people. Must be able to travel up to 50% of time depending on number of MRL’s per year.

Candidate must have demonstrated ability to formulate effective action and project plans, integrate with cross functional teams to achieve results, and brief and interact with leadership on a routine basis.

Basic Qualifications:

Experience in supply chain, production operations, or manufacturing

Professional speaking experience

Risk mitigation

Project management experience

Experience with cross functional teams

Desired Skills:

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience/combined education

The ability to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization, including internal and external customers, subcontractors, hourly employees, executive employees,

and employees with a diverse background.

Interpersonal communication skills to interpret, communicate, and visualize metrics for customers and leadership, in an effective manner

Strategic thinker, at an enterprise level

Experience in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering

Experience in several different organizations

Experience documenting operational procedures and processes

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Clearance Level: Secret

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
