GeneralSummary….

TheProcurement Specialist ensures that a variety of goods and services areacquired from qualified vendors/suppliers and delivered according to agreedterms and conditions. An important aspect of this role is seeking maximum valuefor the company through time and cost agreements.

This position will beresponsible for…..

  • Provides procurementsupport and maintains purchase agreements and purchase orders ensuring aconsistent, best value approach to obtaining goods and services.

  • Ensure that materials,goods and services are procured on time, to target costs and that deliverablesmeet the specified technical requirements.

  • Handle a wide varietyof commodities and be knowledgeable of qualified sources of supply, marketconditions and trends.

  • Participate informulating near and long term buying strategies to ensure quality andcontinuity of supply while minimizing total cost.

  • Maintain welldocumented purchase order files and follow up on open purchase orders.

  • Negotiate, place andmaintain the purchase order files for large dollar procurements which mayinclude complex terms and conditions and extensive follow-up.

  • Single point of contactfor suppliers on critical project deliverables, includes status updates to theproject team on PO life cycle up until delivery to the job sites.

  • Continually analyzingpricing and purchasing habits in an effort to minimize cost while maximizingefficiency.

  • Effectively communicateacross multiple functions and levels while building relationships to ensurequality.

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree inrelated field preferred and 6 years of relevant experience.

  • In lieu of degree, highschool diploma or GED and 8 years of relevant experience.

  • Project ManagementSkills

  • Experience working withsuppliers on developing delivery schedules.

  • Solid understanding ofsupply chain and inventory management systems.

  • A working knowledge ofthe FAR/DFARS.

  • CPSR experience a plus.

  • Excellentorganizational and written, verbal, and social communication skills.

  • Cross-functionalcollaboration experience.

** Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to, market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, education/training and a candidate’s work experience.

Pay Range: 50000.0 (Min) - 73701.0 (Mid) - 97402.0 (Max) Yearly
