Under the guidance of the Welder A, the Welder B will lay out, fit, and weld various parts and subassemblies to create components or products. Precision in calculating close tolerances to machine work is essential.

You Will:

  • Perform TIG and MIG welding on subassemblies and components.

  • Lay out parts and subassemblies according to specifications.

  • Inspect all welds for accuracy and repair any defects.

  • Fabricate and modify parts, equipment, and other items required for shop operations.

  • Coordinate with inspection to approve parts and close work orders.

  • Clean and inspect equipment to ensure functionality, and report any needed repairs.

  • Follow standard procedures and adhere to safety protocols.

You Have:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

  • At least one year of welding experience.

  • Proficiency in reading tape measurements and performing mathematical calculations for cutting accuracy.

  • The ability to read blueprints, welding symbols, diagrams, and other printed instructions.

  • Familiarity with a variety of welding concepts, practices, and procedures.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, talk, and/or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, sit, and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include: close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Work Environment:

Work in both office and manufacturing environment. May occasionally be required to perform job duties outside the typical office setting.
