John Bowman Inc, also known as JBI Construction, has been in business for more than 60 years providing the Department of Defense with quality construction services across the Front Range. We are currently seeking a Job Site Superintendent to join our team.

Requirements:

Must have your own individual method of transportation and a valid Driver's License, vehicle insurance, and registration. Minimum of 3 years recent experience as a superintendent. This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance. Motor Vehicle Report and background will be checked on all qualified applicants. This position is open to local candidates only. Due to the importance of safety in this position, all applicants must be fluent in English. Fluency requires the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English. Skills:

Excellent communication, coordination, and scheduling skills. A detailed understanding of all trades being performed on the job. Familiar with the tools used onsite with the ability to oversee their proper usage and maintenance. Capable of reading blueprints and understanding architectural drawings and specifications. Possess a detailed understanding of, and a willingness to enforce, all OSHA and other safety rules/regulations. Proficient in the use of email and Microsoft Office Suite. Prior experience at local Department of Defense facilities is a plus. Responsibilities:

Work closely with the Project Manager to ensure that all tasks are completed on time and in compliance with project specifications. Oversee the jobsite throughout the day to ensure that workers understand instructions, perform tasks safely, and report/correct any problems. Maintain an open line of communication with employees, subcontractors, various onsite inspectors, engineers, suppliers, and other relevant persons. Perform daily logs, weekly Tool Box Talks, and other documentation as required. Physical Demands:

This position may require you to lift materials weighing as much as 100 lbs. Ability to walk, sit, kneel, climb, twist, squat, bend as needed. Work in close proximity to potentially hazardous machinery with exposure to noise, dust, and fumes. Work on concrete, uneven surfaces, and at sites with excavated dirt where construction debris may be found.
