Role Purpose

The Training Project Manager plays a crucial role in the successful planning, execution, and completion of training projects within Voyager Health. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, technical expertise, learning and development skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate with cross-functional teams and vendors. The Project Manager will be responsible for driving project success, managing resources, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality learning and development solutions, and training deployment globally.

Essential Responsibilities and Tasks:

  • Live and exemplify the Five Principles of Mars, Inc. within self and team.

  • Project Planning: Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.

  • Project Execution: Lead and manage all phases of the project lifecycle, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and timelines. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and communicate updates to stakeholders.

  • Resource Management: Identify and allocate project resources, including personnel, equipment, and budget. Coordinate with team members and departments to ensure availability and utilization of resources.

  • Resource Capacity and Scheduling: Ensure resources are aligned to project deployment and launch of Voyager Health for training delivery.

  • Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment. Assign tasks, set clear expectations, and facilitate effective communication and coordination among team members.

  • Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for project stakeholders, including senior management, learning and development teams, and supporting the software agile delivery lifecycle. Regularly communicate project status, risks, and issues, and manage stakeholder expectations.

  • Risk Management: Identify, address, and proactively mitigate project risks. Develop risk management strategies and contingency plans to minimize potential disruptions. Monitor and escalate issues as necessary.

  • Quality Assurance: Ensure deliverables meet established quality standards.

  • Change Management: Evaluate change requests and assess their impact on project scope, schedule, and budget. Manage change requests, communicate changes to stakeholders, and implement adjustments while minimizing disruptions.

  • Document and Reporting: Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules, status reports, and RAID logs. Prepare comprehensive project reports for stakeholders and senior management.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and optimization in project management practices. Gather lessons learned from completed projects and apply them to enhance future project outcomes.

  • Other job duties as assigned.

Special Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work at a computer for long periods of time.

  • Project timelines and work volume/deadlines may often require more than 40 hours per week to complete essential duties of this job.

  • Must have mental processes for reasoning, remembering, mathematics and language ability (reading, writing, and speaking the English language) to perform the duties proficiently.

  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.

  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb as well as manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.

  • Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm-hand-finger dexterity with the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard and operate necessary equipment.

  • The noise level in the work environment is normally moderate.

  • Environment where pets are present.

Experience, Education and/or Training:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or Instructional Design, or related fields. Project experience as a Learning and Development Project is required.

  • Certifications: Professional certification such as Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM) are highly desirable.

  • Project Management Skills: Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices. Proficiency in project management software and collaboration tools.

  • Learning and Development: Applied knowledge working in Learning and Development, managing training projects, and adult-learning theory.

  • Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of product development lifecycle, infrastructure, and software development process. Familiarity with various technology domains and trends.

  • Leadership Abilities: Excellent leadership and team management skills. Ability to inspire and motivate team members, foster collaboration, and resolve conflicts.

  • Communication Skills: exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders, including senior management.

  • Resource Management: ability to support and execute global resource planning and capacity.

  • Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify and address project issues and risks effectively. Ability to make informed decisions and adapt to changing circumstances.

  • Organization and Time Management: Excellent organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines.

  • Risk Management: Proven ability to identify and mitigate project risks. Experience in developing risk management strategies and contingency plans.

  • Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to changing project requirements, priorities, and technologies. Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

  • Health care background (veterinary or human healthcare, pharmaceutical, etc.) is preferred.

Salary:

$93,707 – $140,560
