Macon Program for Progress is hiring a FT, NC Pre-K, Head Start Lead Teacher. Status: Full time, 12 month position

Candidates who possess a nurturing and motivating disposition with young children and families are ideal for Lead Teacher positions.

Essential Duties:

• Nurture and motivate young children and their families
• Plan, implement, supervise and evaluate the activities of NC Pre-K | Head Start classrooms
• Implement a designated developmental research-based early childhood curricula
• Plans and implements the weekly lesson plans for the classroom
• Design and implement planned activities to promote learning within the daily routine
• Works well with others.

Requirements:

• B-K license or four year degree in Education / related field with willingness to work towards B-K add-on
• Willing to attend job training, nurture and motivate young children and their families, and work well with others
• Valid NC drivers license and willing to get a CDL bus license.
