WATTS Foundry Maintenance Mechanic in Franklin, New Hampshire

We are actively searching for Foundry Maintenance Mechanics to maintain, test, and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and components. You will be expected to apply knowledge of mechanical principles to determine root causes for equipment malfunctions and apply skills to restore equipment to operation. This position will also provide experienced mechanical support to all areas of the foundry process.

You Will:

  • Be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all equipment in the foundry process.

  • Respond to machine malfunctions in the foundry and lead efforts to return them to operation.

  • Initiate and carry out Preventive Maintenance (PM) projects needed for the foundry process.

  • Repair and rebuild parts offline.

  • Work on large stationary equipment like or including compressors, large HVAC systems, large conveyors, Melting and Pouring equipment, Cut Off Saws, Sand Casting equipment, and Sandblasting equipment.

  • Install, start-up, and shutdown foundry equipment following company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown while following all OSHA requirements.

You Have:

  • A high school diploma or its equivalent.

  • A high level of proficiency and a minimum of 3 years of experience as a millwright , craftsman (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Master_craftsperson) , or skilled tradesman (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tradesperson) installing, maintaining, repairing, re-assembling, and moving mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems and equipment.

  • Millwright, heavy equipment, or stationary engineer experience preferred.

  • Experience with email, internet search, and file saving.

This job frequently requires walking, talking, and hearing. Occasionally, it also necessitates standing, sitting, and using hands for tasks such as handling or feeling. You must be able to occasionally lift and/or move up 35 pounds individually, and 80 lbs. with assistance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
