About the Role

Essity is currently seeking Industrial Maintenance Technicians for our Middletown, Ohio, paper manufacturing site.

 

Preferred candidates will have journeyman level experience, be multi - skilled, and capable of performing heavy industrial maintenance.

What You Will Do

  • Perform preventative maintenance on process equipment to improve area process reliability
  • Learn new technology, processes and equipment and educate other maintenance technicians and operators
  • Assist operations in troubleshooting equipment and processes
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning process and manufacturing work systems
  • Maintain necessary documentation (drawings, diagrams, bill of materials, etc.) and communicate repairs to others
  • Perform corrective maintenance on process equipment by performing precision maintenance best practices to optimize equipment life
  • Competent in basic maintenance skills (mechanical) and able to perform maintenance tasks with minimum supervision
  • Perform maintenance activities in accordance with all relevant safe work practices such as specified by regulatory guidelines (OSHA, etc.) and mill safety policies
  • Participates in improvement projects to reduce maintenance costs and reduce process equipment failures
  • Works collaboratively with Maintenance and Operations Leadership, Subject Matter Experts, Vendors, Technical representatives and Contractors on a project and ongoing basis as needed.
  • Train and Develop technical capability within practical working hours of current and future apprentices.

     

Who You Are

  • Have experience in, or recent technical training with, Pumps, Pipefitting, Roll alignment, Rigging, Hydraulic, Mechanical and Pneumatic systems.
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • 5 years total experience with-in last seven years in industrial maintenance including on-the-job experience, certified training and education
  • Willing and capable of working within Essity's Beliefs and Behaviors through demonstrated examples of Commitment, Care, Courage, and Collaboration.
