We are looking for a General Labor to join our team in Franklin Park, IL. We have an immediate opening on days for a full-time general labor. This position is responsible for inspecting and stacking of product. Production as assembly of cool vent. Cutting samples, cleaning and maintaining production and cool-vent areas waste disposal. Employee will be used to fill in on other jobs in the plant as required.
Pay Range: \$22.00 to \$24.00 per hour
Job Responsibilities:
Production Workers perform a variety of tasks to maintain the proper flow of materials throughout our plant and production process.
* Follow production schedules, job instructions, quality standards, specifications and procedures
* Detect and/or correct and report faulty operations or defective materials
* Ensure safe equipment operation and personal safety compliance
* Use had tools, bar code equipment and other production equipment
* Other production responsibilities as needed and assigned
Qualifications
* Must be 18 years of age or older
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Ability to follow instructions and read production orders
* Experience with computers including various manufacturing programs
* Able to work fast and efficient and willing to work long hours during busy season
* Understanding of basic math, reading, and writing skills
* Ability to effectively communicate
Physical Demands
* For this position, it is required to be able to lift up to 50 pounds
* There is a repetitive use of hands required with simple grasping and pushing and pulling
* Temperature changes throughout the year (hot in summer months)
* In addition, this position requires the following abilities: standing, walking, lifting, reaching above shoulders, bending, and twisting
Working Conditions:
* Activities occur inside and insulation manufacturing facility. Job includes but are not limited to exposure to the following:
* Temperatures exposed to both ambient/outside temperatures
* Nuisance dust, use of chemicals, working with mechanical parts, pinch points
* Noise of industrial machinery
* Typically, 40 hours per week with overtime as required
* 3 shifts Monday-Friday with weekends as required
* Fast paced 24/7 operations
