Randstad Federal is seeking an Agile Scrum Master for a project supporting IRS
location: Frederick, Maryland
job type: Contract
salary: $70 - 80 per hour
work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:
We are seeking an experienced Agile Scrum Master to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for facilitating agile practices and ensuring the smooth operation of scrum processes. The Scrum Master will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality products, drive continuous improvement, and foster a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.
Guide and coach the team in agile practices and principles, promoting self-organization and accountability.
Remove impediments and protect the team from external distractions to maintain focus on sprint goals.
Collaborate with Product Owners to manage the product backlog and ensure clarity of requirements.
Track and communicate team progress, ensuring transparency and timely delivery of project milestones.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement by encouraging team reflection and adaptation of processes.
Coordinate with other Scrum Masters and Agile Coaches to ensure alignment across teams and programs.
Support the team in achieving high performance, quality, and continuous delivery.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent agile certification.
Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Scrum Master in an agile environment.
strong understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Lean) and best practices.
Excellent communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to lead and influence teams and stakeholders.
strong problem-solving skills and the ability to navigate complex situations.
Experience with agile project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Rally).
Familiarity with software development life cycle (SDLC) and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD) practices.
