Randstad Federal is seeking a Business Analyst Lead in support of a program at IRS

location: Frederick, Maryland

job type: Contract

salary: $70 - 80 per hour

work hours: 8am to 4pm

responsibilities:

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst Lead to join our team working on a large-scale enterprise platform project. The ideal candidate will lead business analysis efforts, ensuring alignment between business needs and technical solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and coordinate business analysis activities across multiple Agile teams, including Scrum Teams and Shared Services Teams

  • Conduct stakeholder engagement sessions using approved User Experience / Human Centered Design methodologies to review and expand existing use cases

  • Create detailed process maps and user journeys, analyzing and refining use cases to reflect the most common and impactful actions performed by users

  • Validate use cases and oversee the creation of user stories that accurately represent business requirements

  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers to ensure the "single pane of glass" interface meets business requirements and supports seamless data flow

  • Work with AI and ML teams to integrate AI tools that enhance user experience and automate tasks, ensuring compliance with federal guidelines

  • Partner with clients to define platform Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure platform performance against business requirements

  • Support the development of a product roadmap that prioritizes use cases based on business value and complexity

  • Provide leadership and guidance to Business Analysts across various teams, ensuring consistency in approach and deliverables

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Extensive experience in business analysis for large-scale enterprise projects, preferably in federal environments.

  • strong background in User Experience / Human Centered Design methodologies.

  • Proficiency in creating process maps, user journeys, and use cases.

  • Experience with Agile methodologies and ITSM processes.

  • Familiarity with AI and machine learning concepts and their business applications.

  • strong leadership skills with experience managing and mentoring business analysis teams.

  • Excellent communication skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at all levels.

  • Experience in defining and monitoring KPIs and performance metrics.

  • Understanding of federal compliance requirements and their impact on business processes.
