Walmart Pharmacist Operations Manager, Pharmacy - Health & Wellness Non-Store Operations (Pharmacist License Required) in Frederick, Maryland

What you'll do...

Walmart Central Fill Pharmacy is a specialized type of pharmacy that focuses on processing and dispensing of prescriptions for multiple retail pharmacy locations within a region. Unlike a traditional pharmacy, Central Fill is full of automation allowing prescriptions to be filled fast and accurately. But the best part of Central Fill pharmacy is taking care of our patients in the community. While we are not patient facing, our job provides retail pharmacies the ability to spend much deserved time providing clinical services and education to the communities they serve.

We are currently seeking Pharmacist Operations Managers to join our team at our Frederick, MD facility. This position requires onsite presence and does not offer remote work options. Candidates must be available to work a rotating schedule which will periodically include working Sundays and Saturdays. Candidate must be flexible to work outside rotation/shift with advance notice as needed for training and/or business operational needs. Available positions on 1st and 2nd shifts.

Minimum Qualifications:

- Pharm.D. and 2 years' experience in pharmacy.

- Active pharmacist license, in good standing, in state of practice.

  • Must be a licensed pharmacist

  • Drives business plans and projects to achieve facility goals, such as production, quality, and safety.

  • Implements operational improvements and forecasts staffing, workloads, and performance results.

  • Prepares and analyzes business reports to identify operational improvements. Manages Walmart Home Delivery or Central Fill Pharmacy front and back-end operations.

  • Supervises pharmacists and pharmacy associates to ensure optimal workflow. Ensures proper inventory levels and manages workflow capability to maximize prescription fulfillment.

  • Assists with optimizing cost per prescription by managing workflow capability.

  • Supports the Senior Pharmacy Manager in strategic and tactical planning and implementation.

  • Ensures compliance with company standards, state and federal laws, and relevant regulations.

  • Obtains and renews state pharmacist permits/registrations/licenses as necessary.

  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates.

  • Promotes diversity and inclusion in the workplace.

  • Ensures continuous quality improvement in patient care and pharmacy clinical services.

  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects.

  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates.

  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity.

  • Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the effectiveness of current plans and initiatives.

The annual salary range for this position is $79,000.00-$169,000.00

Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses.

Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:

  • Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)

  • Sales Volume Category (SVC) (based on facility sales volume)

  • Complex Structure (based on external factors that create challenges)
