L.L. Bean is currently searching for an Analyst to join the Consumer Insights Team. We welcome the opportunity for this role to be hybrid based at the corporate headquarters in Freeport, Maine, or to be based remotely  in the following states : Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Wisconsin.

As an Analyst on the Consumer Insights team, you’ll  help shape our brand, product, and integrated marketing strategies and influence key business decisions. This team serves as a customer champion, driving brand relevance through a deep understanding of consumers and the context of their relationship with the outdoors, our brand, and products.

The person in this role will be responsible for insights development, brand and marketing measurement, and creative testing. They will be an expert on brand measures, leverage a wide range of consumer insights and trends sources, and create compelling, holistic synthesized insights that inspire and inform our seasonal go-to-market planning, as well as long-term brand and product planning. The person in this role will develop thought leadership and will collaborate with cross-functional teams including Brand Content, Creative, Marketing programs, and Merchandising.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated analytics and/or insights experience, excellent storytelling skills, enjoy building genuine, collaborative relationships with key partners, and be naturally curious.

Role responsibilities

Analyze and interpret consumer data to assess brand health , influence marketing effectiveness, and measure campaign performance.

Insights creation, brand health measurement, and marketing development support

  • Bring brand health performance and expertise to the organization

  • Conduct primary and secondary research – leaning on a range of research methodologies - to support brand amplification and the development of consumer-centric marketing strategies.

  • Synthesize primary and secondary data from multiple consumer and insight sources to identify market trends and insights about our current and future customers.

  • Partner with Brand Content and Creative to contribute key insights to the seasonal campaign development process, including brand priorities, relevant consumer macro trends, and customer mindset .

  • Partner with internal stakeholders including P erformance M edia and B rand E ngagement teams to support consumer-facing strategy and activation development.

  • Assist in the continuous improvement of measurement frameworks and methodologies.

    Marketing and campaign testing and effectiveness measurement

  • Measure a range of strategic initiatives aimed at driving brand awareness and consideration

  • Partner with Brand Content and Creative to measure campaign effectiveness and identify optimization opportunities.

  • Partner with internal stakeholders including Performance Media and Brand Engagement teams to synthesize data and develop a comprehensive view of campaign/initiative performance across the business

    Qualifications

  • BS/BA; ideally in Analytics, Social Sciences, Marketing or related discipline

  • 1- 3 Analytics or a Brand/Agency analyst role

  • Experience designing and creating performance dashboards and effective data visualizations ( eg Tableau, Looker)

  • Experience with Brand communications and messaging strategies

  • Familiarity with research study design and methods: quantitative surveys, focus groups, online qualitative research, social listening, audience analysis, custom market research etc.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to tell a story using data; ability to navigate ambiguity comfortably and simplify complexity

  • Understanding of digital marketing and ad measurement and testing

  • Experience with SQL/R/SPSS and/or designing and creating performance dashboards and effective data visualizations (tools such as Tableau) is a plus.
