Process Engineer

Location: Freeport, TX

As a Process Engineer, you will be responsible for providing engineering and problem solving skills to ensure the process operates safely and optimally; monitoring and analyzing process performance; analyzing limitations and bottlenecks; identifying opportunities for process improvements; developing and implementing solutions; and serving as the process technology expert on site in the BetaCarotene and Packaging areas.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and track plant performance (output, quality, yields, solvent usage, energy).

• Lead operations in troubleshooting and investigation (RCAs) of significant unplanned operational events.

• Develop and document in-depth process technology understanding.

• Define optimal operation conditions (KOPs/KPISs). Work closely with operations to monitor plant and adjust for optimum performance.

• Update OUIs and SOPs in assigned process areas.

• Leads/support process and computer validation as necessary.

  You bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering.

• Two or more years of experience providing engineering support in production or project roles.

• Knowledge of production unit operations and manufacturing equipment.

• Knowledge of applicable SHE & Manufacturing requirements.

• Knowledge of data analysis techniques, Root Cause Analysis, tools and application.

• cGMP operational knowledge considered a plus.

• Solids and dust handling knowledge considered a plus.
