The Maintenance Mechanic I is responsible for fabrication, installation, maintenance, major repairs and operation of all building equipment; such as boilers, HVACs, compressors, and more with minimal supervision.

At UL Solutions, a Maintenance Mechanic:

• Performs minor repairs relating to mechanical equipment, furniture, shelving, plumbing systems, duct work, etc., as directed by immediate supervisor.

• Assists in the inventory maintenance of parts and materials stock.

• Assists in the training and inspection of the work of subordinates as directed by supervisor.

• May perform electrical work, welding, carpentry and other trade work.

• Performs other duties as directed.

• Required: Higher Secondary Education, plus 8 years of on-the-job commercial maintenance & repair experience.

• Required: Experience in HVAC and mechanical maintenance (including troubleshooting of oilers and compressors), to ensure assets are kept in working order.

• Total Rewards: The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $88,000 and based upon years of experience that is commensurate with the level of the position. All employees at UL Solutions are eligible for annual bonus compensation. The target for this position is 5% of the base salary offered. Employees are eligible for health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental & financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country, for the relevant position level. We also provide employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday including floating holidays (12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
