Job Title: Manufacturing Lead

Job Description

Lead shift start-up meetings with your department team. Communicate current priorities and targets, any ongoing issues, process updates, expectations, quality goals, and any additional relevant information pertaining to your department. Attend daily recap production/shipping meetings when the department head is not present. Direct hourly employees and coordinate daily production activities. Determine and may develop methods and procedures to improve productivity and quality. Utilize efficient and effective Flow process of WIP at all times. Prepare daily productivity reports. Evaluate issues and potential problems proactively in a timely manner. Ensure 5S housekeeping duties are assigned and completed daily. Maintain open communication with hourly reports regarding goals and accomplishments. Monitor department KPI’s for results and trends. Develop contingencies and short-term processes as needed. Identify bottlenecks that affect area goals or standards. Develop hourly employees through training, coaching, and mentoring.
