Robert Half Supply Chain Analyst in Fremont, California

Description

We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Supply Chain Analyst in the San Francisco Bay Area. This role is centered around streamlining our supply chain processes and improving operational efficiency. You will be working within a team, aiding in packaging development and sourcing through data analysis, and implementing strategies that enhance cost-effectiveness, quality, and environmental impact.

Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and suppliers to ensure successful project direction and execution.

• Contribute to the team's strategy through market analysis, supplier compatibility evaluation, and risk assessment.

• Manage inventory levels effectively through strategic planning and supplier management.

• Establish and monitor KPIs to assess performance goals.

• Assist in the execution of the Strategic Sourcing procedure, including market analysis, contract examination, RFQ development, negotiation, and proposing recommendations to upper management.

• Apply financial understanding to assist in managing annual expenditure, tracking costs and savings, and contingency planning.

• Support the Supplier Relationship Management program, including goal setting, regular Business Review Meetings with suppliers, and consistent performance evaluation.

• Coordinate with Operations, Process Engineering, Food Safety, and Suppliers for effective project management.

• Utilize various software and systems such as 3M, Dcs, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, IBM AS/400, About Time, Microsoft Excel for efficient workflow and data analysis.

• Employ strong communication and customer service skills for effective interaction and problem-solving with team members and stakeholders.

Requirements • Proven experience as a Supply Chain Analyst or in a similar role

• Proficiency in utilizing software such as 3M, Dcs, ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning, ERP Solutions, IBM AS/400, and About Time

• Strong ability to use Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

• Demonstrated customer service skills and a customer-oriented attitude

• Proven experience in forecasting and predicting business needs based on data analysis

• Experience in KPI reporting and ability to create comprehensive reports for management

• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
