Scope of work

Located within the wellness center, the child watch area affords members a safe harbor in which to leave their children while they experience the wellness center offerings worry-free. The Child Activities Assistant is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service to members by ensuring proper safety and care for the children they have entrusted to the child watch area. This employee would be responsible for overseeing the delivery, care, and pickup of all children in the child watch area to ensure a safe and enjoyable experince. They would be expected to keep the play areas clean, neat, and safe for all children. Maintain and monitor the sign-in and sign-out procedure for all children. Keep records on individual children as appropriate. Employees would be expected to maintain strong observation and intervention skills and communicate in a calm fashion as appropriate with children and their parents. As well as provide their lead with input on current child watch activities and suggestions for future activities.

    Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 60 days

  • 1 year of relevant experience with children in a monitored setting Preferred

  • 2 years of relevant experience Required
