Industrial Electrician

Fremont, NE | $32 - $43/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Industrial Electrician responsible for repairing, maintaining, and installing equipment, as well as performing routine maintenance and electrical repairs throughout the facility. This role requires troubleshooting industrial controls, three-phase motor circuits, and basic electrical systems. The ideal candidate will install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot industrial controls, three-phase motor circuits, and basic electrical systems.

  • Install, maintain, modify, and repair all electrical distribution systems and associated electrical equipment.

  • Wire and hook up disconnects, switches, push buttons, circuit panels, breakers, suppressors, and transformers.

  • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects.

  • Assist with the installation of new electrical equipment or modify existing equipment.

  • Identify opportunities for electrical system improvements and communicate them to a supervisor or manager.

  • Utilize hand and power tools to diagnose, adjust, maintain, and repair electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.

  • Review work orders to ensure accuracy and maintain documentation of work performed.

  • Identify and act upon incidents and safety risks, consistently practicing and enforcing safe work habits.

Essential Skills

  • Minimum of 6 months industrial electrical experience, including PLC, VFD, Analog, and advanced electrical controls experience.

  • Experience utilizing hand and power tools of all varieties.

  • Ability to accurately use and read a tape measure as well as industrial blueprints.

  • Basic knowledge and safety understanding of electrical components.

  • Knowledge of basic math, including addition, subtraction, division, multiplication, and calculating percentages.

  • Skill in using a personal computer and various software applications, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner with all plant employees, as well as third-party vendors and contractors.

  • Ability to operate a forklift, scissors lift, or any other powered equipment or machinery as needed.

  • Ability to consistently practice and enforce safe working habits.

  • Ability to recognize safety risks and comply with all safety standards.

  • Ability to work with a group of technicians or autonomously with limited supervision.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to pass a required physical, including demonstrating the ability to lift the required weight for each position.

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for an entire 8-hour shift.

Work Environment

The work environment is very clean with varying temperatures and a distinct smell. The schedule for all night shift maintenance is 6 pm-6 am, with 2 days on, 3 days off, and 3 days on, 2 days off. There is also 1 opening on day shift.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $32.00 - $43.00
