Experienced Access Control Technician

Install, program, and maintain access control systems, including card readers, biometric devices, and electronic locking hardware. ? Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues related to access control systems. ? Perform routine system inspections and preventive maintenance. ? Collaborate with clients to customize and integrate access control solutions. ? Maintain detailed documentation of service calls, installations, and repairs. ? Train clients on system operation and troubleshooting procedures. ? Ensure compliance with safety protocols and industry standards during all installations and repairs. ? Coordinate with team members and other trades to complete projects on time and within budget. Qualifications: ? Experience: Minimum of 3 years working with access control systems (e.g., Kantech, Honeywell, Alarm.com, or similar platforms). ? Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certifications are a plus. ? Skills:? Strong understanding of low-voltage systems, networking, and wiring diagrams. ? Proficiency in troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues. ? Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical schematics. ? Certifications: Relevant industry certifications (e.g., OSHA, BICSI, or manufacturer-specific credentials) are highly desirable. ? Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments. ? Other: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Background check required.
