Tyler Houk (Practice Director) with Robert Half is partnered with a fantastic professional services organization in Fresno looking for an AP Specialist to join their team.

Position Overview:

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will play a crucial role in our finance department by managing the accounts payable process efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for processing invoices, reconciling vendor statements, and ensuring timely payments to vendors and suppliers. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review and verify invoices for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with company policies.

• Process invoices in a timely manner, ensuring proper coding and approval.

• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.

• Correspond with vendors and internal stakeholders to address inquiries and resolve issues.

• Prepare and process weekly check runs and electronic payments.

• Assist with month-end closing activities related to accounts payable.

• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all accounts payable transactions.

• Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

• Stay updated on industry best practices and regulations related to accounts payable.
