We are looking for a Sr. Account Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team in the Fresno, CA area.

This is a remote, field-based position. Ideal candidate should reside in the area of Fresno, CA. Relocation assistance available, if necessary.

The Senior Account Manager will develop, plan and execute the sales initiatives towards the strategic accounts aiming to start, maintain and increase business over the years.

Build up a long-term relationship with international or national customers in line with the M&S strategy and within BASF Vegetable Seeds to realize profitability and partnership.

It is imperative to develop an added value relationship not only focusing in genetics but discussing, understanding, creating and executing Key Customer plans that offer/guide to solutions. Key person to manage strategic accounts connections to retail, making sure promotion of our concepts are professionally presented.

As a Sr. Account Manager, you create chemistry by...

  • Planning, reviewing, adapting and executing the annual sales plan for the selected key accounts. Customer Plan, sales targets, key performance indicators, and crop marketing plan to contribute to crop annual Basic Plan.

  • Representing the company and introducing value-based proposals according to the needs of the Key customer while building longing term partnership and generating sustainable sales.

  • Managing customer teams to provide solutions to customers’ needs/challenges, improving customer facing processes, creating and sharing information, and overcoming objections with the result of enhancing the customer experience.

  • Collaborating and networking amongst several crop teams to understand crop strategy and implement marketing plan and business plans.

  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders to evaluate and promote varietal performance and new introductions.

If you have...

  • Bachelor’s Degree.

  • 5-8 years of Sales experience.

  • Project Management skills preferred.

  • Well-rounded knowledge of vegetable seed business.

  • Advanced consultative selling skills, including negotiation and closing sales plan.

  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit combined with a good ability to influence decisions of people with different backgrounds and in various functions.

  • Language skills: English required, bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.

  • Leadership Skills with ability to coach and mentor team along with providing positive and constructive feedback.

Pay transparency

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $89,600 - $123,200. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
