Comerica Network Security Engineer Dallas or Detroit metro in Frisco, Texas

Sr. Network Security Engineer The Sr. Network Security Operations (NetSecOps) team is responsible for supporting the operations of security appliances and infrastructure within Comerica. This includes monitoring and responding to events that impact the availability of security systems for the business, maintenance, break-fix, patching, and configuration changes during both regular business hours and on an on-call basis. The NetSecOps team collaborates closely with peers within Engineering and Technology teams within the security domain. The Sr. Network Security Operations (NetSecOps) Analyst is responsible for providing advanced operational support for security infrastructure within Comerica. This would include performing monitoring, response, maintenance, and configuration tasks to maintain uptime and availability of cybersecurity-related infrastructure to the business. The Senior Analyst will also serve as an escalation point to junior analysts for advanced tasks and perform reviews of tickets that have been completed. This role would contribute to progressing the effectiveness of the team and support the manager of the team in their leadership responsibilities. Position Responsibilities NetSecOps Analysis * Provides advanced/in-depth troubleshooting, response, and support from Cyber for alerts/events on network abnormalities and application outages on both an on-call and business hours basis, adhering to predefined Service Level Agreements. * Provides advanced technical support in testing, troubleshooting, and performing network configuration changes for security appliances. * Mentors and trains Analysts while serving as an escalation point for tickets with advanced technical requirements. * Performs sampled technical and documentation reviews of tickets that have been addressed by analysts. * Responsible for the ongoing day-to-day monitoring of systems, devices, and appliances that support and provide security services (e.g., IDS, VPN, Proxy, WAF, DDOS protection). * Escalates alerts and events if required, based on defined escalation criteria and in coordination with the NetSecOps manager. Communication and Administration * Collaborates with stakeholders across the business to document requirements and to propose/perform configuration changes necessary to support day-to-day operations. * Collaborates with other engineering and operations teams within both the cyber and technology organizations to troubleshoot and facilitate response to events, as well as to develop recommendations/workflows to improve handoffs within teams. * Assists in NetSecOps Manager in the development and maintenance of playbooks, processes, and technology solutions for NetSecOps tasks and operations, along with implementing workflows to improve operational efficiency within the function. * Assists NetSecOps Manager in the continual improvement of the program and delivery of services.
