St. Luke’s Health System in Boise is seeking a Credentialed Medical Asstnt 2 to join our Clinical Oncology team.

Unit/Position Summary

The Credentialed Medical Assistant 2, is responsible for assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a provider and/or physician. Performs other skills/tasks as identified by the unit/department that require a unique body of knowledge/skills.

Job Description Responsibilities

• Interviews patients, measures vital signs, and records information on patients charts.

• Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients. Sterilizes, cleans, and performs checks on medical equipment.

• Provides technical, clinical, and clerical support to provider and/or physician.

• Performs medical procedures as outlined by provider and/or physician.

• Processes prescription medication for refill under the supervision of a licensed independent provider (LIP).

Job Description Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent

• Experience: 1 year of experience as a Credentialed Medical Assistant

• Licenses/Certifications: Current recognized National Certification as a Medical Assistant and American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Provider certification
