Job Description:

Advantage SCI is hiring a Human Resources Generalist to support contract personnel at Ft. Campbell, KY. This individual will be an integral part of an exciting HR team and will provide excellence in systems administration, benefits assistance, general HR procedures, and special projects. This position requires energy and experience with labor relations and unions. You must have a broad HR background. This is an immediate vacancy, and all candidates will be considered.

Responsibilities:

  • Conducts new hire orientation, onboarding efforts and exit interviews for all hires.

  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, and aptitude exams and certifications.

  • Recruits, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.

  • Acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.

  • Implements new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.

  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff.

  • Attends employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.

  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, human resources, psychology, or related field, or other degree; Experience recruiting in a government contracting environment may be substituted in lieu of a degree.

  • Three+ years’ human resource management experience, in the defense contracting industry.

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain/maintain a public trust.

  • Professional certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.

  • Excellent presentation skills.

  • Ability to work independently and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

  • Ability to process and maintain confidential, sensitive information.

  • Excellent communication and writing skills.

  • Excellent computer skills, including MS Office tools and Internet.

  • Knowledge of EEO, ADA, DOL classifications, FMLA, and other government compliance regulations.

  • Ability to effectively interface with managers and team members at all levels of the organization.

  • Effective planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills.

  • Knowledge and facility in the use of a standard HRIS and Applicant Tracking system software.

  • Ability to multi-task efficiently with a strong attention to detail and organization skills.

  • Must have through knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and be able to develop executive dashboards.

  • Willingness to problem-solve and make mature decisions.
