PCSI is looking for a Sheet Metal Worker at Ft. Sill! Planning and laying out all types of sheet-metal maintenance work from blueprints, models, or other specifications. Fabricates, installs, and maintains in good repair the sheet-metal equipment and fixtures (such as machine guards, grease pans, shelves, lockers, tanks, ventilators, chutes, ducts, metal roofing) of an establishment. This position will report to the HVAC Supervisor and is based at Ft. Sill in Lawton. Typical work hours will be Monday-Friday 7:30am-4pm

  • Base pay of $24.78/hr.

What You'll Do as Sheet Metal Worker:

  • Planning and laying out all types of sheet-metal maintenance work from blueprints, models, or other specifications.

  • Fabricates, installs, and maintains in good repair the sheet-metal equipment and fixtures (such as machine guards, grease pans, shelves, lockers, tanks, ventilators, chutes, ducts, metal roofing) of an establishment.

  • Setting up and operating all available hand tools in cutting, bending, forming, shaping, fitting, assembling and installing sheet-metal articles as required.

  • Performs other associated duties as assigned.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Five years related experience with the ability to perform the assigned duties.

  • In general, the work of the maintenance sheet-metal worker requires rounded training and experience usually acquired through a formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Regularly required to stand, walk, and climb ladders. Frequently required to kneel, squat, bend, and reach.

  • Required to be able to lift 75lbs up to 10 times per day.

  • Must have working knowledge of overhead doors.

  • Requires working knowledge of related equipment.

  • Requires ability to use hand tools, power tools, and equipment required for installation, maintenance and repair.

  • Ability to work as a team member

  • Self-starter, able to work with minimal direction and supervision

  • Must be able to effectively read, write, and speak the English language.

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to pass criminal, drug, and driving screening.

  • Ability to work outside in inclement weather as needed and be exposed to various dirt, debris, and odors.

  • Ability to work any time or day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

  • Possess valid driver’s license and maintain good driving record.

  • If required, ability to obtain and maintain security clearance and base access to assigned site(s).
