Candidate will be responsible for successful project execution, financial, scheduling and technical management in accordance with USACE, AFCEC contract requirements, project plans and established corporate policies. Execution of work will include proposal preparation, cost estimating, schedule development and forecasting, project planning, design, field execution and project closeout. Develop new business opportunities relative to a particular client, group of clients, geographical area, or type of project.

  • Must be on the work site when on-site work is being performed and shall be available to the Contracting

  • Shall have overall responsibility for all operations at the job site and be authorized to make decisions, negotiate Contract terms and sign Contract documents on behalf of the Contractor.

  • Responsible for safety onsite

  • Supervise craft workers assigned to an area of responsibility; provide liaison between field engineering and crafts to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications

  • Plan the work schedule, determining manpower levels, material quantities, and equipment requirements

  • Monitor work performance and productivity of trades to ensure project specifications, procedures, quality, and safety requirements are maintained

  • Manage onsite meetings and distribute schedule updates and meeting minutes

  • Complete daily documentation requirements including reports and photo

  • Advise Project Management of potential problems, work interference, and schedule difficulties; assist in circumventing/resolving such problems as required

  • Maintain liaison with other departments to ensure all required materials, equipment, inspections, etc., support project activities and schedule

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

Education and Experience

  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience of being a Project Superintendent on construction projects containing electrical, mechanical, and civil components similar in size and scope valued at 15M USD or more.

The Project Superintendent shall have at leastonethe following qualifications:

  • U.S. Registered Architect or 1 Kyu Kenchikushi (1st Class Qualified Architect).

  • U.S. Registered Civil Engineer or 1 Kyu Doboku Sekou Kanrigishi (1st Class Civil Engineering Works Management Engineer).

  • U.S. Registered Mechanical or Electrical Engineer or 1 Kyu Kankouji Sekou Kanrigishi (1st Class Building Mechanical and Electrical Engineer).

  • U.S. Registered Electrical Engineer or 1 Kyu Denkikouji Sekou Kanrigishi (1st Class Electric Construction Management Engineer).

  • U.S. Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or 1 Kyu Kenchiku Sekou Kanrigishi (Building Construction Management Engineer)

  • U.S. Bachelors Degree in Construction Management or AIDD Sougoushu (AIDD Construction Engineer).

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required

  • Knowledge of various construction disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, and construction print reading

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

Supervisor Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the Operations Field Manager

  • Works under the supervisor of a Project Manager

  • Will supervise/coordinate subcontractor and trade performance

Working Conditions

  • Physical effort required for frequent lifting or moving of materials

  • Is regularly required to sit or stand, bend, and reach

  • Ability to lift up to forty (40) pounds and walk a project site

  • Work is regularly performed in outside weather conditions

  • Must have valid driver’s license, be insurable on the company insurance and able to travel as required

  • Must be willing to travel
