Community Health Systems Cardiac Cath Lab Technician / RCIS in Gadsden, Alabama

Gadsden Regional Medical Center is located in Gadsden, AL which offers a variety of attractions, such as top tier public schools, museums, and nature. Schedule: Full Time / Days, on-call required

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED

  • A minimum of six (6) months healthcare experience, required.

  • One (1) year Cardiac Cath Lab experience is highly preferred.

  • Registered in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT), required.

  • Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) in good standing, is preferred.

  • BLS within 7 days of hire.

Responsibilities:

  • Provides clinical and technical assistance for the performance of diagnostic and interventional procedures in the cardiovascular and peripheral systems.

  • Prepares the patient for the test and explains procedures.

  • Circulates during invasive procedures, which includes the duties of patient education, treating patients under physician/ RN Team Leader’s direction, and assisting the scrub technologist and Physician.

  • Exhibits knowledge of sterile technique and of supplies and equipment used.
