Job Description:

UF Performing Arts is seeking to hire part-time OPS Event Staff for the upcoming 2024-2025 performance season.

Event Staff Duties: Preparing Front of House pre-performance; assisting in post-performance load out and tear down as needed in both front and back of house; parking attendant; ticket scanning; T-Shirt security; assist with weapons detection scanning using Evolv scanner; assist with scanning and inspections for prohibited items; access control.

Enforce facility policies and procedures. Identify and respond to emergencies according to emergency protocols. Involve Manager on Duty or Head Usher as needed.

In addition, UF Performing Arts expects the following of each employee: adheres to UFPA venue policies and procedures; works in a safe manner; performs duties as workload necessitates; maintains a positive and respectful attitude; communicates regularly with supervisor about department issues; demonstrates efficient time management and prioritizes workload; demonstrates regular and consistent attendance and punctuality; meets department productivity.

Work schedule is highly variable depending upon the event schedule and will require evening and weekend work, averaging approximately 15 to 30 hours weekly. Cross training to additional positions will be available if interested.

Expected Salary:

$13.00-$15.00 commensurate with experience

Minimum Requirements:

Excellent customer service or hospitality skills (one year preferred); High School diploma of GED equivalent. Comfortable with fast-paced, high-profile events, must be comfortable with a non-traditional work schedule and environment. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time and safely lift and carry 50 pounds.
