Job Description:

The Graduate Division in the College of Journalism and Communications are looking for a student assistant to assist with clerical and administrative office support.

Hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Ideal candidate is available to work 10-15 hours per week.

Job duties will include:

• Customer service: answering phones, routing calls, answering student questions, etc.

• Organization: data entry, filing, scanning, copying, etc.

• Database and Listserv management

• Special projects such as editing, form creation, etc.

• Assist in preparation and hosting of meetings, conferences, and events

• Public relations: social media and other communications

Expected Salary:

$12 per hour

Minimum Requirements:

Must be a graduate student in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Excellent customer service skills

• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Adobe Acrobat, PowerPoint, Canva, Outlook, Zoom

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to work independently with little to no supervision
