Leidos Technical Trainer Manager in Gaithersburg, Maryland

Description

Leidos Civil Transportation Solutions Operation at Leidos has an opening for an energetic and detail-oriented Technical Training Manager who will support the dynamic high growth organization. The Technical Training Manager will collaborate with the Federal Aviation Administration leading all facets of web-based training, with focus on curriculum development for Enterprise Information Display System (E-IDS) system.

E-IDS provides access to supplemental information from numerous sources to augment the information available on the Air Traffic Management (ATM) service provider’s primary display.This position will require the technical trainer to manage the team to develop, edit and document web-based training in accordance with FAA standards.

Systems Engineering Technical Trainer responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight in the development and delivery of training programs, leveraging a variety of methods, techniques, learning tools, and best practices to ensure high-quality, relevant, and cost-effective training solutions.

  • Perform E-IDS training development and implementation, following established processes, in support of the following activities:

  • Translate technical and complex system information and requirements into E-IDS training design elements.

  • Develop the E-IDS Air Traffic, Technical Operations, Security Data Administration, and Second Level Engineering Course training CDRLs:

  • Support Leidos Training and FAA Training reviews of development materials and CDRL activities.

  • Generate Course Material to deliver and support Design and Development documents.

  • Deliver course materials and provide instruction and support in course revision, and course development.

  • Skills in Microsoft 365 Suite, Microsoft Visio, or graphic editor, Articulate Storyline 360 or equivalent animated WBT

  • Demonstrated ability to review and provide editorial comments for content developed by other team members.

  • Serve as customer interface for the training project

  • Monitor tasking and overall schedule of all task elements

  • Ensure Quality Assurance objectives are achieved for all delivered products

  • Evaluate skills required to perform contractual tasking and ensure team is adequately staffed

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years or prior relevant experience or Masters with 3+ years of prior relevant experience.

  • Generally has 2+ years of experience supervising or leading teams or projects.

  • FAA domain knowledge in one of the four FAA subject areas:

  • Air Traffic

  • Technical Operations Support

  • Security and Data Administration

  • Second Level Debug and Engineering Support

  • Ability to translate technical and complex design information into user-friendly E-IDS training material and Web Based Training (WBT).

  • Experience in Articulate Storyline 360

Pay Range:

Pay Range $78,000.00 - $141,000.00

The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline onlyand not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
