Coburn’s Exclusive is looking for an Architectural AutoCAD Design/Modeler to join our team. Coburn’s Exclusive provides custom-designed and custom-built architectural metals to customers all over the country. The Designer/Modeler should be able to take a concept and produce finished technically accurate submission and fabrication drawings within a specified time frame.

The AUTOCad Designer/Modeler will work primarily in 3D and 2D AutoCAD. They will almost exclusively use 3D AUTOCad to produce drawings and plans for projects. While experience in parametric design is a plus it is not required for this position. In addition, past experience with 3D laser scanning and point cloud manipulation is a big plus. Our ideal candidate will be able to work independently, following Coburn’s Exclusive’s processes.

Requirements:

• 3 years of 3D AutoCAD experience

• Experience with spreadsheets including Excel and Google Sheets

• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or related field, or comparable work experience

Applicants for Architectural AutoCAD Designer/Modeler should be able to demonstrate:

• Experience with Autodesk 3D and 2D, or comparable 3D Modeling software.

• Experience in gathering measurements, including but not limited to, field and product dimensions with a high degree of accuracy.

• Proficiency with reading architectural drawings and/or fabrication documents.

• Ability to prepare detailed architectural drawings using computer-aided drafting software. The candidate should be able to prepare full-scale and detail drawings that specify the project’s dimensions, including room sizes and elevations, and provide information on materials needed and building/installation plans.

• Responsiveness to modifications in the designs, and the ability to update drawings considering the impact of those changes on other construction elements.

• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

• Basic construction site knowledge, including safety guidelines.

• Willingness and ability to learn new software.

This position requires an authorization to work within the United States and a valid drivers license accompanied by a reliable mode of transportation to and from work (including jobs that are not located at our shop). Salary is commensurate with experience and starts at $70,000.
