LifePoint Health Surgery Scheduler - Highpoint Orthopedics FT Days in Gallatin, Tennessee

Schedules surgeries under guidance of Office Manager and Surgeons to provide effective and efficient use of surgical time.

Reports to: Office Managers and Specialty Market Manager

Communicates with surgeons, insurance companies, multiple hospital departments and patient to appropriately schedule surgeries while efficiently and effectively utilizing surgical block time. Drag Edit Delete

Understands HIPAA privacy and confidentiality. Drag Edit Delete

Receives information from surgeons on procedure, CPT Codes, location of procedure, and uses judgement on surgical time needed. Drag Edit Delete

Work collaboratively with multiple departments to efficiently coordinate patient preoperative needs. Drag Edit Delete

Coordinate post-operative follow-up needs within the office. Drag Edit Delete

Maintain the daily, weekly, and monthly surgery schedule within the office. Drag Edit Delete

Cross trained as back up to other office positions as requested.

Minimum Education High school diploma or equivalent required Associates degree or technical diploma/certificate in related-field - Preferred. Drag Edit Delete

Required Skills Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action. Possess excellent time management skills and ability to work in a stressful environment. Ability to work independently and utilize independent judgement. Drag Edit Delete

Minimum Work Experience Previous experience in a medical setting or similar high-pace environment - Preferred.
