Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in related field. No experience required.

Job Summary:

To coordinate and directly support the administrative and business management activities of a department or large division.

Job Duties:

  • Daily Census (daily printed reports from EPIC), enter data in the excel spreadsheet, keep a tally of the Newborn & ISCU admissions, keep a log in EXCEL of deceased babies, distribute spreadsheet by email at the end of the month.

  • Daily Newborn Screens (screens are received daily by mail & fax) enter information in EPIC. If abnormal screens are received, a letter is generated to be mailed to the parent/guardian for a repeat evaluation.

  • Access Database daily (discharged patient information is added to the database for physicians to run queries on babies in the NICU).

  • OB Consults (emails are sent from MS Forms to be added to the consult spreadsheet).

  • Maintain Neonatology clinic schedules (QGenda/AMCOM)

  • Create attending schedules for UTMB Clear Lake hospital.

  • Submit monthly additional pay for Neonatology faculty.

  • Schedule weekly Neonatology division meetings and prepare minutes and sign-in sheets for each meeting.

  • Retain and request updated medical license, DEA, and insurance document for each faculty member.

  • Asset Coordinator – monitor/track Neonatology division computers and technical equipment (assist with computer refreshes)

Salary Range:

Commensurate with experience.
