Description We are offering a role within the import/export industry situated in Garden City, Georgia, United States. This role centers around the function of a Payroll Administrator, where the selected candidate will be tasked with a range of duties related to the processing of payroll and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Processing both hourly (weekly) and salaried (semi-monthly) payrolls including special off cycle payroll runs

• Checking all time cards and sheets to ensure proper coding for labor, vacation, sick leave, overtime, etc., and verifying total hours

• Reviewing and processing hourly and salaried employee personnel action forms

• Verifying and auditing employee payroll deductions for benefits, pension, taxes, etc.

• Processing off-line checks and manual payroll checks, and distributing checks and direct deposit notices

• Preparing funding requests for salaried, hourly, and special run payroll distributions

• Handling hourly and salaried employee garnishment disbursements and serving as a contact for federal and state departments

• Ensuring compliance with supplemental wage requirements including benefits, bonuses, gift cards, awards, etc.

• Reconciling monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll reports for federal and state labor and tax requirements

• Providing support for open records release requests

• Completing verifications of employment and wage statements for worker’s compensation, etc.

• Actively identifying areas for process improvement and making recommendations to management

• Actively monitoring for changes/updates to federal and state labor regulations and reporting to management

• Supporting, as necessary, other areas in Finance such as Accounts Payable. Requirements • A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator or in a similar role within the Import/Export industry

• Proficiency in ADP - Financial Services and ADP Workforce Now

• Experience with Ceridian, Kronos Timekeeping System, and Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with About Time, Accounting Functions, and Benefit Functions

• Capable of managing Full Cycle Payroll and Check Processing

• Knowledge of SAP HR Payroll, semi-Monthly Payrolls, Tax - Payroll, Weekly Payroll, and Year-end Payroll

• Proficiency in Payroll Management and Payroll software

• Ability to Process Bi-weekly Payroll and Process Biweekly Payroll

• Experience with Reconcile Payroll and Process Payroll

• Familiarity with Payroll - In-House, Payroll - Multi-State, Payroll - Over 500 Employees, and Payroll Functions

• Knowledge of Payroll - Garnishments, Multistate Payroll, Multi-state Payroll, HRIS Payroll System, and HR Payroll System

• Experience with bi-Monthly Payroll and ADP - Payroll

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
