JOB SUMMARY:

Adelphi University’s Theater Department invites applications for an adjunct professor in scenic painting for Spring 2025. The candidate will teach a course in scenic painting.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Faculty are expected to participate in teaching the class in scenic painting, work with the students to a develop a portfolio of their work.

  QUALIFICATIONS:

• This position requires a terminal degree MFA or professional experience

• The candidate should h ave teaching experience

• Demonstrated excellence in various scenic painting techniques

• A record of professional accomplishments as scenic painter

• A portfolio of work

  SALARY INFORMATION:

  In compliance with New York’s Pay Transparency Act, the salary for this position is $1,798 per credit.
