Job Summary

As a Tool & Die Maker you will manually fabricate and modify existing tooling and fixtures, for aircraft part manufacturing. The Tool & Die Maker will use of conventional fabrication machines such as Mills, Lathes and Surface Grinders, as well as manual and pneumatic shop tools.

Job Responsibilities

  • Capability of using pneumatic, manual, and electric shop equipment such as die grinders, band saws, drill presses, etc.

  • Experienced Tool & Die Makers will have minimal instructions and strong ability to problem solve

  • Ability to lift heavy objects and work with sheet metal.

  • Tool & Die Makers must be able to develop complex fixtures and dies using mechanical blueprints.

  • Tool & Die Makers will use precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and other measuring equipment.

  • Must be able to reverse engineer manufacturing tooling, as well as interpret engineering blueprints, and data

  • Ability to stand for long durations during working hours.

  • Perform additional duties with minimal supervision as assigned.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 5+ years experience manually fabricating production tooling and fixtures, proven ability to perform shop math and standards, read/interpret blueprints, and reverse engineer manufacturing tooling.

  • Hands-on experience in conventional machining and manual fabrication of various metallic and alloys.

  • Must comply with ITAR/EAR regulations and/or program requirements.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an Aerospace Manufacturing Environment

  • Strong communication, fluent and able to read and write in English.

  • Own tools to be used on the job.

  • Conventional machining knowledge

  • AWS certified welder

  • Plaster tool fabrication

  • Familiarity with ASI

Compensation Data

Pay Range: $42.02/hr - $32.65/hr
