Job Title: Manufacturing Quality Specialist

Job Description

This position is responsible for leading and coordinating the work of associates to ensure the quality of finished glass panes by inspecting, testing, and analyzing the quality of products and processes, including customer quality requirements. The QC Glass Team Lead also manages and drives the process of continuous improvement within the Quality department, focusing on increasing efficiency and eliminating variation in manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate the work of associates to ensure product quality.

• Inspect all finished products before they leave the site.

• Identify any defects, cracks, or scratches and determine their origin in the manufacturing process.

• Utilize Quality Management Systems and Six Sigma methodologies.

• Read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

• Use critical thinking and problem-solving skills to present solutions to higher management.

• Drive continuous improvement processes within the Quality department.

• Collaborate with a Quality Team Mentor from a sister company in Canada.

• Receive full training on our glass manufacturing process.

Essential Skills

• Experience with Quality Management Systems and Six Sigma.

• Ability to read blueprints and schematics.

• Problem-solving and critical thinking skills.

• Leadership qualities.

• 2-5 years of experience as a Quality Technician in a manufacturing or machine shop industry.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in glass manufacturing is a plus.

• Experience with micrometers and calipers.

• Management or lead experience (nice to have).

• Quality engineering and quality check experience (nice to have).

Our facility is very clean, organized, and new. It features big fans for lots of air flow, though it is not climate-controlled. Water and electrolyte popsicle stations are available throughout the facility.

This is a Permanent position based out of GARLAND, Texas.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $55000.00 - $65000.00
