Machine Operator

Job Description

We are currently seeking Machine Operators for our molding/mixing and calendar departments. There are 25 spots available for the afternoon shift from 2:48pm to 11:00pm. The pay rate is $24/hr, including a $2 department pay. Day turn training hours are from 6:48am to 3:00pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate presses and perform repetitive tasks

  • Load and unload rubber into the machine

  • Lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly

  • Visually inspect products for quality assurance

  • Transport materials to the next station in the manufacturing process

  • Complete production tickets, press production sheets, and downtime sheets

  • Stand, walk, bend, and twist more than 80% of the workday

  • Work in a fast-paced environment

Mixing Job Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate mixing equipment

  • Load and unload materials into milling machines

  • Produce and prep raw materials based on batch tickets

  • Utilize computers to check scales, loaders, mills, and vacuum hoists

  • Perform inspections of materials for defects and inconsistencies

  • Complete documentation and paperwork

  • Drive tow motor

  • Maintain a clean work environment by sweeping and cleaning

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Middlefield, Ohio.

Work Environment

The Middlefield Plant location has 104 employees on the plant floor, with a goal to reach 160. The environment is not temperature-controlled, and the presses operate at 300 degrees, making it very hot despite fans running 24/7. The job is physically demanding, involving standing at one press for an entire shift, especially challenging during summer heat.
