Job Title: Project AccountantJob Description
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Project Accountant to join our team. This role involves managing month-end responsibilities for various joint venture projects, including high-profile initiatives such as the Obama Library, Bailey's Casino, and the Chase Tower rebuild. As a key member of our accounting team, you will handle all project-based billing, contract review, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial variances. Additionally, you will have significant responsibility in managing accounts receivable entries, subcontractor payments, and preparing monthly billing and financial audits.
Responsibilities
Manage month-end responsibilities for joint venture projects.
Handle project-based billing, contract review, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial variances.
Own and review accounts receivable entries.
Manage subcontractor payments.
Prepare monthly billing and financial audits.
Essential Skills
Experience in project accounting, specifically managing projects of $100 million or more.
Proficiency in Procore or Jonas Software.
Strong knowledge of general ledger and reconciliation processes.
Experience with billing and subcontractor payments.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Associate's degree in Accounting or related field.
Experience in large project accounting.
Work Environment
