What You'll Be Doing

Primary responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Study workflows and practices of site construction and maintenance contractor teams to classify and document current efficiencies and productivity conditions to optimize execution process.

  • The fields of analysis could include multiple crafts such as scaffolding, insulation, painting, millwrights, I&E and mechanical crafts.

  • This position will study and analyze all aspects of the work process including the identification of work, planning and scheduling of work through field execution and job closeout.

  • This position will collect necessary data needed to establish baseline information and to monitor changes for site wide comparison and analysis.

  • Activities will include following work crews and documenting activities by prescribed categories.

  • This time and motion study will be compiled into monthly data sets.

  • Expectation will be to follow multiple crews daily and provide the collected data on weekly basis, along with feedback on areas of opportunity

Ideal Background

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Bachelor or Master of Science degree in Construction Science, Building Science or related field from an accredited university is preferred.

Licensing: No licensing is required for this position.

Experience: This position requires a minimum 5 years of relevant industrial construction coordination and administration experience.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Demonstrated experience and knowledge of industrial safe work practices

  • Industrial construction experience (5+ yrs)

  • Working knowledge of soft skills work practices

  • Working knowledge of mechanical construction work practices

  • Data organization and analytical capability

  • Good communication skills (both written and oral)

  • Ability to work with multiple cross-functional teams and departments

  • Basic Computer skills

  • Basic math skills

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit, stand, or walk for long periods of time.

  • Ability to perform work outdoors in hot or cold climates.

  • Ability to perform duties while wearing personal protective equipment such as a fire-retardant jumpsuit, safety glasses, ear plugs, and hard hat.
