Oversees instructional materials each student brings from their home school district. Coordinate with school districts and school counselors regarding individual educational needs. Keep information on patients counselor and academic schedule. Students counselor will discuss what academic material is to be covered during the length of stay at the OP program. Educational liaison will provide appropriate and timely feedback to parents, schools, and patients regarding educational needs and concerns. Maintain accurate and complete records of students progress. Manage student behaviors in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. During non-school days will provide therapeutic activities to patients and groups of patients.

Position Responsibilities:

Clinical / Technical Skills (40% of performance review)

?Oversees the academic activities of each patient and will help facilitate active learning experiences.

?Communicate with the academic home school counselor and parent about the academic work assigned during the OP program.

?Communicates with the parent if problems with student completing academic work.

?Coordinates with school districts and school counselors regarding individual educational needs.

?Provides appropriate and timely feedback to parents, schools, and patients regarding educational needs.

?Interacts with patients and groups of patients to enhance communication and delivery of quality care.

?Possess the necessary communication skills to interpret the needs of specific age groups in response to treatments.

?Provides therapeutic activities to patients and groups of patients during non-school days.

?Perform other duties as assigned.
