ORBIS Corporation HR Manager (Manufacturing) in Georgetown, Kentucky

Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain effective communication and a positive and inclusive work environment for all personnel.
Develop and lead a culture of safety relative to training, monitoring and reporting; administer and mitigate costs for workers compensation claims; serve as plant Safety Representative.
Serve on the Local Leadership team and maintain productive relationships with other members of the Leadership team; maintain a strong connection with the overall business strategy.
Design and implement strategies to attract and retain qualified candidates in a cost-efficient manner that meets the operational needs of the business; collaborate with staffing agencies and the VMS to ensure flexible staffing needs are maintained, when applicable.
Facilitate and train front-line leaders and working leaders to elevate their involvement in implementing a high-performance work system; support the operation in providing technical training resources.
Ensure both hourly and salary compensation systems are appropriate and administered within the facility.
Administer benefits; assist employees through the on-line benefit selection process; communicate benefit changes; oversee annual benefits enrollment; promote company health and wellness programs; assist with employee benefit questions.
Ensure compliance of relevant federal, state/provincial, and local laws, as well as Menasha Ethics and other corporate-specific policies and procedures.
Other duties as assigned.


Education/Certification

Required: Bachelor's degree

Desired: Master's degree; PHR or SHRM-CP certification

Work Experience

Required
5-10 years of relevant HR/Safety work experience
2-5 years of experience in manufacturing

Desired
2-5 years of experience in safety and workers compensation
