Essential Functions

Greets patients and visitors in-person and on the phone. Schedules appointments and registers patients for appointments.

Ensures that all necessary demographic, billing, and clinical information is obtained and entered in the registration system with timeliness and accuracy.

Distributes and explains forms, documents, and educational handouts to patients or family members.

Maintains all documentation for performed services and charges, registration of patients, coordination of benefits, referral requirements, payment calculations, and insurance authorization.

Integrates a variety of clinical data, regulatory compliance, and policy to conduct medical necessity reviews.

Job Requirements

Minimum EducationAssociate’s Degree Preferred High School Diploma or equivalent Required

Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.Handle with Care to be received within 30 days of orientation and kept annually.
